#1 Softback, 255 x 190 mm, 72 pages, 210 g.
Shortlist LIVE! Publication #1 provides comprehensive texts on the careers and practices of the 2019 nominees of the ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art.
The 2019 shortlisted artists/collectives, Cuqui Jerez (ES), Dana Michel (CA), Keijaun Thomas (US) and Mammalian Diving Reflex (CA) were asked to suggest authors to write about their careers and practices. Each writer responded “yes” to the writing invitation. As a result, we are now able to read four very different essays on four very different artists.
The authors of the essays are Quim Pujol (Cuqui Jerez), James Oscar (Dana Michel), Broderick Chow (Mammalian Diving Reflex) and Joshua Chambers-Letson (Keijaun Thomas).
#2 Softback, 255 x 190 mm, 64 pages, 200 g.
In 2020, the world's only Live Art Prize nominees are Ingri Fiksdal from Norway, Brian Fuata from Australia, Geumhyung Jeong from South Korea and the Finnish art collective W A U H A U S.
The core of the Shortlist LIVE! Publication consists of artist essays on nominees for the prize. The authors of the essays are proposed by the artists themselves. The essays are written by Amanda Jane Steggell (Ingri Fiksdal), Lucreccia Quintanilla (Brian Fuata), Ginevra Bria (Geumhyung Jeong) and Aune Kallinen (W A U H A U S).
Both issues are published in co-operation by ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival and Live Art Development Agency (LADA), edited by Heidi Backström and designed by Tomi Leppänen.
